Based on 35 years of success, HOSTS Mentoring and Intervention services provide research-based instructional strategies and interventions to assist teachers in effectively helping students who struggle in the regular classroom. Our intervention programs cover many areas, including Reading and Early Literacy, Math, English Language Development, Special Education, and Structured Mentoring.
This offering represents the largest and most longstanding one-on-one structured mentoring and intervention program in the United States.
Our classroom and supplemental mentoring programs support instruction in classrooms, learning centers, after school or extended-day programs, and community programs.

HOSTS Mentoring and Intervention:
- Has delivered structured mentoring programs to more than 1 million students in 1,300 schools who have benefited from personalized instruction to improve their reading, writing, vocabulary, math, critical thinking, and study skills.
- Has been proven to accelerate student learning an average of 2 or more levels in a single school year.
- Offers proven techniques for integrating the community to support mentoring.
- Is effective for summer school as well as programs serving students with special needs or disabilities.
- Is a nationally validated Title I program. Funding also available through Reading First (Title I, Part B, Subpart 1), Teacher Quality (Title II, Part A), English Language Acquisition State Grants (Title III), 21st Century Community Learning Centers (Title IV, Part B), and IDEA.

In 2007 we will migrate to our new IMS Intellipath�, a leading-edge system developed to track assessments to a school's or district's existing curriculum resources (over 340 publishers available) with page-specific accuracy to create more detailed, dynamic learning paths for students and make differentiated instruction easier for teachers

- A comprehensive mentor resource kit provides hundreds of operational materials to support recruitment, training, retention, and set-up, organization, and communication throughout the entire year.
- Program Training
- Product knowledge and application of the IMS as it relates to a structured mentoring environment. This training is provided face-to-face and continued online throughout the implementation to help ensure effective program use.
- School Action Planning
brings together all administrative and instructional leaders responsible for the success of your program in one onsite working session to develop a clear implementation plan that aligns with your school improvement goals.
- (Optional) HOSTS PD� Professional Growth and Learning
services help teachers and administrators build the core competencies required for maximum student achievement.
